Square Back Minnow (5in) 5, 10, or 20 cavity

Many years ago a pro fishing a regional championship on the river here was on a jerk bait bite on a particular color.  One of his sponsors had asked me to fish with him one day and show him around.  The next day I went over to a local tackle store to discover he had purchase every single package of any brand in that color.  He had also checked every depqartment store, and sporting good store in the area and cleaned them out as well.  I went home and made the first Square Back Minnow mold.  I wasn't trying to copy anybody (and I didn't).  I was just trying to make a fast easy jerk bait design so I could crank out some baits for the next day.  It caught so many fish for me in no salt, light salt, and heavy salt fomulas that I almost didn't make another one of my very popular molds in this length.  The baiits from this mold just work.  The wider than most hook slot makes it glide further in a hard twitch, sway its tail on the fall, and wake on a high hold.  I have never offered this mold for sale before, and I made it a very long time ago.  I wasn't even sure I still had the source files until a friend who fishes with me recently begged me to make the mold for him.  I originally made it long before I was in the mold business.  When this bait is on its on.  Its great dragged over grass, or skipped into the tulies and twitched out at or near the surface.  

It laminates okay, and with careful temperature control can laminate nicely.  Due to its smallish nose and gate you should hold firm pressure on it for a minute or so when the mold is full to reduce denting.
