Those are the same heat resistant (not heat proof) phenolic handles we use on many or our metal casting molds.
1/4-20 is the most common size used in the past, and the only size we currently use.
Those are sold in pairs. The price is for two handles. The phenolic portion only.
Instructions: The handle and stud/nut (not included) will not fit on most molds without a slight bend. Below is the way I install them.
- Thread the stud into the handle and tighten it with a 1/8 inch hex key.
- Spin the nut onto the stud.
- Turn the stud into the mold plate.
- When handles are seated as deep as practical and both handles are even, snug nut against mold plate with 7/16 wrench
- Holding the mold plate that the stud is threaded into firmly give the stud a slight bend away from the parting line of the mold. I typically do this across my knee, but other people may wish to clamp in a vise with soft wood jaws.
